Looked to be recently groomed, tracks were deep on most of the trail with a few short sections washed out. There was quite a bit of debris in the tracks especially in the sections of trail with pine trees near by. There was also was also a section or two that the groomer pulled up some dirt and rocks.

Tracks solid throughout with little to no washout. Quite a bit of debris on the outer loop, significantly less so on the inner. Probably best to use skins or waxless skis until it is groomed again.

Super fresh grooming at Hartley just after noon on Saturday. We have been spoiled by the mild winter -- 17 F and 10 mph breeze felt a little nippy, but it yielded maybe the fastest conditions I have experienced at Hartley this year. Yet the fresh grooming, incorporating reconstituted snow and the 2 or 3 inches of fluff from yesterday, gave great control and just plain Swix blue gave GREAT kick. What a gem this trail system is, less than a mile from my house!

Amazing, crisp, morning at Hartley! Absolute bombproof tracks and really nice glide. Skins had tenacious grip this morning. I might have slipped twice, maybe. Very recent grooming did a great job! Easy to snow plow on the big hill if you have to. Plus that bright glowing orb is in the sky again.

Hartley is skiing well. As expected it is very firm, but not icy. The tracks are super solid and fast. We skied 20k and our extra blue kick wax was still working at the end, even though it was a bit worn off under the heal. Oh what a PistenBully can do, thanks City groomers!

Hartley was groomed on Tuesday. Both the inner and outer loops are in good shape with tracks in tact throughout the system. The grooming did a good job of bringing some old snow to the surface, as well as covering up some debris. I used skin skis and had decent kick in fast tracks.

As of 7:45AM, Hartley has not been groomed since the freeze-up, but I expect that it will happen soon. During my ski, tracks were quite icy as was any snow surface. If you can keep the wax on your skis, it is possible to ski the inner loop where the elevation changes are minimal without killing yourself. There is some tree material in the trail and tracks as well. I did not attempt the outer loop.

Went out in the evening with a headlamp. Was very icy. Skied the whole thing but walked down the back hill on the outer loop. Would suggest waiting until it is groomed again.

Hartley had been groomed since I had previously skied it 48 hrs ago. Tracks still had the freshly-groomed feel and extended fully up every hill. Hardly any tree debris in tracks at all. Getting fast out there...My easy ski once around the system was almost 10% faster than is typical, with heart rate the same. Great kick too. Pretty much perfect conditions.

Come and get it! Great conditions at Hartley on a blue wax morning. Light dusting of overnight snow in the tracks. I don't know when it had last been groomed but tracks were fairly deep and crisp. Pretty solid tracks and no iciness. Only one problematic pine tree dropping needles into the track on the entire system, and hardly a dropped oak leaf to be found. A great place for a recovery ski.
