Very good. Classic tracks were deep and firm, with no bottomed out sections. According to the ranger in the office, most trails had been groomed since Friday, except for the more distant ones. However, when we got to Bear Chase and Lost Lake we found them in pristine condition, with hardly any evidence that others had used them before us. We didn't go beyond Lost Lake. Bear Chase could have used some bush hog work last fall, to mow down the woody stems growing up in the middle of the trail, some up to 18 inches tall or so. Oak leaves and fir cones were occasional problems, making me wish for waxless skis, but overall it was a very good time out. The White Pine, CCC and Thomson's loop on the north side were similarly good.

Gorgeous day for skiing. White Pine, Greeley Creek trails were in superb condition. A few parts of the Oak trails had tree debris but nothing to worry about. Overall, the trails were freshly groomed. Classic tracks were almost pristine. Skate deck, what little there is, was firm and mostly still corduroy. Sleds on the Munger went by at a moderate speed with plenty of distance. Some waved.

Skied Silver Creek to Upper Lake. Trails were good. Could use a grooming to Lost Lake, but not bad!

Trails are in superb condition! They were just groomed on Friday. WhitePine-CCC-River- Thomson loops fresh and firm. Two classic tracks, minimal debris and walking on the North side; (From the headquarters) Amazing!

Skied the High and Spruce trails near Hwy 23 today. Nice grooming, great scenery, and lots of coyote and turkey sign. Love Jay Cooke. Any time of year!

Skied all of the trails north of the river. Tracks were good and firm everywhere except steep downhills which were pretty snowplowed out. There were a lot of oak and ironwood leaves on all of the trails on the other side of Forbay Lake/151/Jay Cooke Road, which left me moving in and out of tracks to avoid the worst spots, and I still ended up with kick zones streaked with leaves. Tracks are a bit messy and uneven along the Munger where the trail parallels the snowmobile trail. There was one rock sticking out of the snow on one of the first larger uphills of White Pine.

White Pine, Greeley Creek up to the dam, and CCC. All ski trails groomed for classic Good to excellent track with frequent debris (oak leaves and conifer needles on White Pine and Greeley). Track drifted over in the big open area (scoured by the 2012 flood) of the White Pine. CCC north of the highway probably has the least debris of all the park trails (mostly aspen poplar).

Skied Oak Trail at Jay Cooke. Classic tracks are firm and in great shape. Unfortunately, the tracks are covered in dead leaves and debris every few feet.

With an extra layer and buff, ventured to Jay Cooke and it was amazing. I've skied there now a few times this week and have covered the entire system--all good. Tracks were solid, extra green provided good kick and the skies were blue. I believe this pic says it all...

Skied CCC Friday morning and the trail was in great shape. Gorgeous with snow in the trees. White Pine and Thompson Loop also looked to have been groomed but I did not ski them.
