Skate deck is still pretty soft and fluffy. Looks like the most recent snow hasn't been groomed, doesn't appear to have been heavily skied in. Classic tracks were a bit faster, but pretty blown out in places.

Some of the tracks were thin and washed out. The skate deck appeared soft and uneven in places. Disappointed that the groomer did not set a track on the uphills. Except for a few of the really steep hills there isn't any problem striding up most of the hills if you are properly waxed.

The trail was groomed for both classic and skate. They were in great shape and well used. The trail was busy. Thanks for grooming!

Very icy in the track and skate lane. Track is very shallow to non-existent. The base is still ok and not much debris in the track or skate lane. We just need more snow so the groomer can go back out there.

Skied Spirit and Magney this morning (before the warm up). Magney has good coverage with an occasional rock or thin spot. Spirit is pretty dirty in spots (I skied on the edge of the trail to get around a few areas). Be careful with the downhill at Magney just before the Connector. It is thin (from ppl snowplowing) with debris poking through. I would consider side stepping on downhills rather than snowplowing if you're not comfortable skiing down (since our snowbase is so thin!) Think snow!

+1C overcast and breezy. Magney Snively is in fantastic condition. All the downhills were skiable without fear of dirt or rocks. There is still a lot of undulation but it is easy to ski through with some attention. The connector to Spirit Mtn is also in great shape. I skied from the Spirit Mtn trail system.

Magney continues to be the best, most abundant real snow in the Twin Ports area. Complete coverage all over. The "baby" groomer was there today, not the piston, while I was out, saw it go by my house and then finishing up on the trail. Surprisingly there was a very small amount of tree debris on the trail and in the tracks given the strong wind we have had for the past two days. The skate lane was kinda combed, but you could still see the tracks from the previous activity after he was done. Temp was 32 when I was out. The classic tracks are pretty well used and misshapen throughout and were not regroomed. All pictures taken after the groomer was done. Still the best around town.

Magney has great coverage. Tracks are in pretty good shape throughout. Only one or two spots under trees that are sparse. Lots of skiers out enjoying the warm (comparatively) day!

Classic skied the whole loop. The track is washed out in places and debris and I noticed a couple rocks sticking up so you'll need to step out of the track occasionally. The hill going down to the Spirit Connector is a little sketchy and thin with some obstacles to avoid. Skate lane looked good. It's a narrow trail so try to preserve the track and not ski over it if possible. I never made it out here last year so a real treat to get to be out here in the woods. Watch out for the porcupine on Ely's Peak loop.

Full coverage, though there are a few sections with lotsa leaves and some dirt/rocks poking through. If you're paying attention and not in the tracks, you could get away with not rock skis. Connector from Upper Spirit is groomed, and Upper/Lower connector is rolled (although gravel-y) to link up the full system!
