Trail Reports

2021-2022 season
Reports 24 to 27 of 27    Month: Mar | Feb | Jan | Dec
Friday, December 31, 2021
Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We skied everything at Magnus. The tracks were overall great, with periodic thin spots but not enough to warrant B skis. The skate deck was still fairly soft with a few uneven spots. It was great to be out and the trails were empty.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The skate deck was maybe 2/3 winter-wonderland-excellent, 1/3 soft, uneven, rutted, too narrow, and otherwise frustrating. I imagine it’s not easy to groom all the soft, dry snow we’ve gotten recently.

Went to Magney at 1:30 nothing was groomed yet since the big dump on Monday. Someone skied in a track, but that was covered up with 3 inches of new snow.

Magney just got rolled. I didn't ski it because it is very soft and needs time to set up. Pouring snow as I report.
