Chester was tilled up and it is in great condition! The tiller easily broke up the top layer of ice, leaving a perfect skate surface. There are a few places where the tiller was bouncing and leaving some waves. There are also some deep post holes in the middle of the trail from walkers during the warm spell. A couple of those holes are 12 to 18 inches deep so that was nearly comical to see, but watch out for them.

Good conditions. Fast and firm. Recently groomed with a coating of powdery snow on top. Some foot traffic but due to the firm conditions no post holing and it doesn't impact the skiability. No issues using good skis.

I had a very enjoyable evening ski this evening and I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the trail. The stadium was soft and post-holed, but trails are in good condition once you are out of the stadium. Surprisingly firm outside of a few segments and the walkers have not destroyed them yet.

Lots of snow but well-packed. Be aware that the middle is really punchy and you might break through. Otherwise it is nice and it should get wider as the edges get packed more with the next few groomings.

The Good: The trail firmed up nicely after yesterday's grooming. Some beautiful cord could be had.
The Bad: While foot traffic was concentrated to one side of the track, there were plenty of sections where significant prints were all over the trail. In no section did the walkers confine themselves to the left 1/4 of the track as directed.
The Ugly: Either a really big dude with relatively small feet or a moose wearing boots laid post holes down the middle of much of the trail.
