Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied the Staghorn loop. Lots of leaf litter. Trail was icy, which is to be expected with the recent warm weather and the below freezing temps today. Great to be out though.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I groomed all the trails early this morning. Everything is in excellent condition with a classic track set. Unfortunately, there was a lot of leaf litter and small sticks present. A lot of this groomed in but as a classic skier I would hesitate to use klister or any sticky wax. Waxless or skating would be my choice. We have small, nicely wooded trails that are pretty to ski. Leaf litter is the trade off.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I groomed all the trails for classic and skating this morning and skied them this afternoon. Everything is in good shape and they firmed up nicely. Some areas are a little uneven just because there is so much snow to groom in and there is some debris due to the high winds. But overall it is excellent. These are really nice scenic trails because they cut through the woods and are narrow...just wide enough for a skate lane with a classic track on one side. We don't have a lot of hills but we make up for it in ambiance.

Grooming

We're open with all trails groomed for both skate and stride. Thanks to the State Park Crew for clearing downed trees and branches. The next snowfall should take care of leaves and needles. Hey, this is the earliest start we've had in years.
