Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The Monday morning ski will be on a freshly groomed skate deck that is consistent corduroy; no skiers at night = fresh cord for the early skiers! Classic track is thin, but it’s the best we can do at the moment given equipment and snow conditions.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skate deck was in good shape and firm, even with the warm temps. No bare spots, some leaves and a stick occasionally. Classic tracks from what I saw looked a bit shallow, but decent for the most part, other than a couple of curves.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The skate deck at Hiawatha is refreshed with corduroy. Due to mechanical issues, the classic track did not get reset, but it was in decent condition except for drifted portions. Walker trail is also freshened up too. Enjoy!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Lots of happy skiers enjoying Hiawatha tonight. Skate deck is freshened up, but an equipment malfunction on the classic track setter prevented laying down a classic track tonight. Shallow skier formed classic tracks will have to do until we get the groomer fixed.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Hiawatha will be back to prime time conditions Monday morning with the caveat that we decided to let the deck firm up and not drop a classic track tonight. There are skier made classic tracks to use, and we will drop the classic track tomorrow night. Multi use trail is groomed too. Enjoy!

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All the snow is great! Groomers did as much as we could once the snow stopped falling and before youth classes started. Right now there is the skate deck and classic tracks, we well as walking trail down. The snow is a little soft, and that last 20 yards of the uphill is still a touch icy. Hoping that the snow will firm up overnight. We are grooming again this afternoon to get a good base down on this fresh snow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The little bit of snow today hasn’t helped much. It’s still solid ice underneath the main trail, which is heavily rutted. I had fun skating for a bit on the the off-trail crust as there is decent snowpack almost everywhere. Loppet staff were repairing a snowmobile at noon today, but they weren’t optimistic they could improve the situation much without more snow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Hiawatha groomers have been trying to get the trails back from ice. Tonight’s effort was just on the 1k loop and the practice area in order to get ready for the MYSL sessions this weekend. There’s some scraped up icy crust and some really persistent ice that isn’t responding to multiple passes with the groomer. The hiker/skijoring 1k loop might be the best bet at this point. Be careful! Pray for snow!

Not good. It hasn't been groomed since the refreeze. The skate deck was treacherous. The classic tracks were like a luge run - fastest double poling I've ever done! Crust skiing next to the skate deck was fair.

Ice! I should've taken note when I saw no cars in the lot, but walked over to the trail head and it was solid. I knew it was gonna be a tough day with icy areas I didn't even bother skiing. No tracks for classic and much of the skate deck looked like icy skate ski tracks. The groomers have been so awesome this year, but this just seems like it's gonna be a rough week. I hope they can work some magic on the trails so we can enjoy some of this nice snow base we've built this winter.
