Fast, crispy, crunchy fun. A few frozen puddles but otherwise stable conditions for skating. The classic skiers had more icy/challenging conditions.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed and set tracks tonight. Tracks are good for most of the course, but thin to non-existent in a couple of spots. There are three sections of slush on the course. There is one under the pines by the clubhouse that may require removing skis for some people. The other two have a little space to ski around. Just use caution. All in all, the course should ski well for March! This is bonus skiing and it still looks pretty good. Enjoy!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We're having some mechanical difficulties at Columbia this week. We thought we had it fixed today, but I was only able to make one lap on the skate deck before having to stop. So half the skate deck is OK, the other half is rutted and crunchy. There are some skier set tracks, but they don't look great. I'm rating it B skis because there are a few low places where water has frozen into hard ice. The good news is there is full coverage and the snow should groom up nicely once our equipment is fixed.

Trails are pretty icy with deep grooves in them. I skied for about 10 minutes and then gave up. Hopefully more snow will help.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated this afternoon at Columbia Golf Course. Conditions were good for skating. No ice and only a few soft spots where poles were punching through the skate deck. Great late February conditions. Classic tracks looked to be a bit worn and starting to get washed out in a few places, but no bare spots.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed the skate deck at Columbia this morning. Unfortunately, the groomer's not working properly and won't set tracks right now. We'll try to get some set as soon as we figure out the issue. It's beautiful out there today. Enjoy!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Rolled Columbia this morning. Grooming plan will be to roll it a couple times and then run the groomer once it sets up. Should be great when it's ready.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Columbia was rolled this morning. Last night's snow covered up most of the ice -- it's only poking through in two places (both on the east side) that I noticed. The new snow should adhere nicely to the trail in most places, but there are a few areas of glaze ice where it may not stick well. Use caution if you ski today. As the winds pick up we expect quite a bit of drifting as well. We'll keep rolling it until it is firmed up enough to groom.

Like skiing on glass. Spent 10 minutes skiing on the middle of the driving range. Solid surface, no give.

Observation
[ Trails: Closed, Rock skis ]
While there is still trail coverage, the trail is rock hard ice. Current downhill conditions are treacherous and we do not reccomend attempting to ski. We will not be grooming until a warmer day and will post an update if conditions improve.
