Firsthand: Classic

Did not have time to drive north for snow and took a chance on Jack Lake. Was pleasantly surprised. The course has not been groomed, but a few people have been out classic skiing and the trails were in surprisingly good shape. I skied the blue outer loops and had no issues as there was plenty of snow cover.

Morning
Observation 
Walked in 100 yards and the snow was much better than at the start. Course might have been rolled at some point, but no evidence of skiing. Fair amount of hiking on the trail. Base appears to be good so a good amount of snow should make Jack Lake pretty good for skiing.
