Skied the blue loop with excellent conditions. Groomed for both classic and skate, there appeared to be very little traffic on the trails since the last grooming.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Arrived at midday to find freshly groomed skate lanes and good, solid tracks that were set on Saturday. Joanie and I skied for almost 3 hours on the majority of the trails and they were in very good condition.

Excellent skiing today at McMiller. We were on an easy day and did not do the big blue loop hills but everything we skied had a nicely groomed skate deck as well as firm deep track and I am sure the other loops were more of the same. As good as it gets....except for the ice cream headache on the fast downhills. Get some!

A little cool when starting but well worth it. Skied classical and we were first in tracks on a couple of the loops. Once again thanks to the groomers for a job well done. Some of the finest skiing in the Midwest right here in southeast wisconsin.

Spectacular ski this afternoon. Nicely set tracks start to finish on the blue loop. Surprisingly soft, in places. The cold temps should firm it up. The scenery is amazing - frosting on every tree.

Started at 10:30 and the skate deck was very icy as even the corduroy groomed yesterday. We turned back and tried the biathlon loop which the groomer had started. When we got back to the start we saw it had just been groomed and my skate tracks were the first. It was not icy and enough loose snow for good edging. The downhills were very controllable. Thanks to the groomer as the icy downhills were dangerous before grooming.

I started with classical but the tracks had not been reset yet after all the snow. I switched to skating and did a couple of blue loops. The groomers were out while I was there and my second loop was on fresh corduroy. The long climbs out on the far side were quite narrow because the groomer had made only one pass. A second pass to widen the trail and colder temperatures to set up the snow should make perfect conditions.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Grooming was finished on McMiller as of 9am after receiving about 6 inches overnight. The skating lanes will be in very good to excellent shape. We were able to get a track on every trail except for the outer blue loop. While setting that track the snow was being pushed off the trail. To avoid damaging the trail we will wait until tomorrow to track those loops. There will be some drifting on the open areas and along the ridges. Warming shelters are closed due to Covid.

Skied the blue, orange, and red trails. All were groomed and good ski conditions. The downhills were very controllable. Very enjoyable. Arrived at 10:15 and by 10:30 the parking lot was full with cars lined up. It was the most I have ever experienced but the ski trails were not crowded.

Skating lanes were regroomed today with very good to excellent conditions. The track on most of the red trail was reset, but the rest was in very good condition.
