Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Thanks to Jeff from the town and Jeff volunteer groomer the electrical issue was fixed. Was able to groom the entire outer loop (11k ish) both skate and classic. With Bruce grooming the classic loop yesterday it's in great shape no debris and no bare spots. If you need to get in some k's prepping for the birkie the trail will be a good place to go.

We were able to reset the classic trap on the blue loop as well as on the Porcupine Loop and the exterior of the main loop. An issue with the groomer prevented us finishing the skate deck on the outer loop and to the Barnes Rd. Trailhead. We will hopefully get that rectified shortly. The classic skiing should be great tomorrow as this snow was exactly what we needed.

Skate skied some short loops today and the skate deck is in excellent shape. There is tree litter but not enough to affect much. Good skiing for your good skis.

Great weather and great trail conditions at Tomahawk park today. Skate deck was recently groomed and is flat and smooth. I did the outer yellow skate loop and smiled the entire way. The rest stop on the yellow loop provided a needed break and beautiful view. Thanks groomers.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed all the skate lanes today. Couldn't set new classic tracks due to the hard deck even with teeth down. No matter, as the classic tracks are in good shape even though not full depth. There is a bit of debris with the winds we've had. Overall the trails are in great shape and ready for skiing this weekend.

Took a lovely trip around the 8ish km yellow loop today. Pros: fresh dusting of snow to cover the debris the wind blew around yesterday, skied in tracks, and a wolf had very recently enjoyed the trail, too! Cons: tracks could be deeper, and there is an occasional ridge in the skate deck. Word on the streets is the groomer (Scott) had to bail early to get his mother-in-law's car out of a snowbank but will be back soon to fix things up for weekend skiers.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed the entire outer trail and the classic loop. The bit of fluffy snow has covered any leaves or debris. The skate lane is in excellent condition. The classic track needed to be set again and even with the use of teeth wasn't able to get a full depth set. However, after it gets skied in a little it should be in good condition. The deck and tracks are both firm and flat. Enjoy and stay warm!

First time skiing beautiful Tomahawk Lake Ski Trail (Whitetail Turnpike) and was super impressed! The grooming was excellent for both skate and classic. As we were leaving, someone was even coming to groom up the trail on a Saturday afternoon. This will definitely be one of our regular ski locations. It is 100% worth the nice drive out to Barnes!
