Skied North Advanced, Ole Hyvaa, Hilfiker and Canyon Curves. 2-3 inches of new, wet snow throughout system with snow still falling. Skier made tracks in remnants of machine groomed tracks. Skate decks in upper loops (Ole Hyvaa, Hilfiker and Canyon Curves) are narrow and very soft.

We (Ann, Ann, Carol, Becky, Barb and Mona) skied parts of Pincushion Loop, North Advanced, Canyon Curves and down the Snowmen. Excellent track everywhere we skied. Bob and Julie did a fabulous job of working through the heavy snow drifts. Beautiful winter conditions at Pincushion!

Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Email from grooming Tuesday evening: New snow: 6+ in, followed by wind and drifting. Base depth: 15+ in. ( up to 5 ft). Unpacked depth: 30-50 in. Pincushion was hammered pretty hard with this storm's snow and wind and we will be working to re-groom over the next couple of evenings. Bob expects to groom several trails Wednesday evening and the remainder of the system on Thursday evening so we'll be in good shape for the weekend.

I classic skied here yesterday and today. Yesterday was nicely groomed with classic tracks and courdurouy for skating, on the green loops and the blue Pincushion Loop. By today the new snow had covered the courdurouy everywhere. North Advanced, Ole Hytää, Hillfiker, and Pincushion Loop were in fantastic shape for classic today. Photos are all from today.

The fresh snow from last night hasn't been groomed yet so not great conditions for skating but likely great conditions for classic.

We had a great ski at Pincushion this morning. The skate lane and classic tracks were in very good shape with a little added fresh snow. There's no scarcity of snow up here along the north shore! It's always spectacular skiing up here!

Pincushion trails are in fabulous condition with all the new snow and fresh grooming. Thanks Bob and Julie for working through the wind blown drifts and setting such a great track on the Pincushion Loop.

Fresh snow Thursday evening but gale force winds postponed grooming until today. -6 F at 10:30 this morning so easy to choose your wax. Great skiing! You just had to keep moving in order to stay warm.
