Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
And the snow continues....All Green trails and Pincushion Loop groomed and tracked. Grooming plans: Remaining trails will be groomed tonight. Temps are a bit warmer and winds are down - a great sunny day to enjoy Pincushion.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We skied Ole Hyvaa, Hilfiger, Northern Advanced, Pincushion Mountain Loop. Trails were mostly in great condition, with some debris here and there. Some of the downhills felt a little bit choppy, but all in all we had a fabulous day at one of our favorite places to ski!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied North Advanced, Ole Hyvaa, Hilfiker and Canyon Curves. System was last groomed on Saturday. Classic tracks are well set and packed after Wednesday's snow however the tracks on the green runs are beat up. High winds have blown debris and drifts in some areas. Skate deck is covered by about 1.5 inches of dry snow and the deck underneath can be pretty choppy and grooved so take care on steeper downhills.

Bluebird day in Grand Marais even in the single digits above zero. Skied North Advanced, Canyon Curves and Lynn's Loop in varied conditions. Unfortunately, about half the system was not groomed after about 7 inches of snow earlier this week. The other half of the system that was groomed earlier in the week had an additional 1-3 inches overnight last night. Skier made tracks and remnants of a few groomed tracks throughout the system with some sections uneven and beat up (mostly on the green trails). The snow is abundant and skiing well but bring your classic skis.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Beautiful freshly falling snow during our ski today. Skate skiing was a bit tough with the fresh 2-3” of snow, but the classic tracks were well skied in. I’d recommend classic if you have the choice until a fresh groom!

Classic skied late morning/early afternoon and the tracks were perfect and freshly set. Lots of snow everywhere and once you got away from the trailhead area, there were virtually no people. Enjoy these beautiful, well groomed trails.

I skied Pincushion Mtn Loop (freshly groomed when I skied), then North Advanced to M and O thru Canyon Curves Loop, Upper and Lower Snowman and West OverLoop. All had a deep firm trackset. I seemed to glide forever on the long gradual downhills but not out of control.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied North Advanced, Ole Hyvaa, Hilfiker and Canyon Curves. Classic track still in good shape with some debris in tracks but generally fast. Skate deck on upper loops is still very soft and there are very few freestyle tracks. Grateful for another gorgeous day.

Skied North Advanced, Hilfiker and Canyon Curves. Classic tracks well set. Skate deck had about .5-1.5 inches of fluffy new snow. Some softer spots at the higher elevations. Also saw a few wolf tracks on the upper trails.
