Nice it be skiing while it's snowing! The tracks are generally in good condition with the exception of Crossley's Crossover where it completely disappears halfway down a hill; that was fun! The hills are all a bit slow. I'm looking forward to the trails being groomed after it stops snowing.

Excellent conditions this morning while skiing with the guys. Track was faster than most seasons for some reason. Few leaves to contend with (other local trails seem to have 3 times the leaves). Track and skating deck in great shape.

Grooming

Logging is complete and the main crossover trail was re-groomed today. The main crossover trail where the logging was occurring is in fair shape but definitely not as good as the rest of the trails. I was able to pull some snow in and make the trails relatively flat and hard. With a little snow the trail should be just fine. There is one area where there is some dirt showing through but you can navigate around it easily.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed all the trails today. Good solid base and good track has been set. Starting tomorrow morning loggers will be using the main crossover trail to move wood. County staff will be out grooming on Wednesday to fix any damage to the trail associated with the logging.

Very nice -- just as advertised in yesterday's report. Kudos to the groomers. However, the heavy-equipment deforestation project near the NW section of the trails did little to enhance the outing.

Great skiing today on well groomed trails (way to go Tom and Mitch - the two new groomers). Outer loop firm overall (skating deck and classic tracks) in 27 degree temps. Nice job on packing the 13+ inches of snow getting the trails in good condition.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
County staff were out on Monday. All trails were packed using a roller, snowmobile and the groomer. There are some areas where dirt is showing from packing efforts. Overall, trails are in fairly good shape and all classics and skating lanes are open. If time allows I will be out on Friday to touch up the skating lanes.

Around 4-4.5" of snow last night and this morning. Panned the outer loop and the main crossover trail. Trails are open but are in rough shape. There are lots of sticks and rocks showing through. If we receive a large snowfall on Saturday, we will be out grooming and packing on Monday!
