Groomer once again broke down while grooming. The outer loop now has lots of snowmobile tracks from the rescue of the broken equipment. It is unlikely trails will be groomed before the weekend.

Skating and classic. It stayed at 32 or colder all day no melting. About 2 feet of snow on the ground. There was about an inch and a half of fluffy snow on the ground. The skating was good. I explained to my ski partner how after a while he will become annoyed by the fluff. The classic track was great, we used V40 for kick and got excellent results. The track was fast. There were many couples out classic skiing which just kept improving the track.

Packed with the snowmobile and then groomed the trails. Firm base but the deck was soft from this fluffy snow. There are also a few places on the outer loop where I had to set track for a little bit on the skating portions (groomer kept getting stuck going up hills trying to pull all that fluffy snow).

One inch of new snow covered the leaves! Skied in previously set track around outer loop. Second lap better than the first.

Was very happy to see the trails had been very recently groomed. Classic tracks were in good shape and deep. There were lots of leaves, we need more snow. Skate deck looked very nice. Nice to see several cars in the parking lot. Beautiful spot to ski!

County resumed grooming at Larson late last week. Classic track set into old transformed snow. Kick with hardwax was fine, but wax was wearing off. Outside of tracks/skate deck had more powdery snow. Leaves were accumulating in the tracks in some places.

All trails have been groomed and are in good but not great shape. There are lots of oak leaves and small sticks scattered throughout the trails. Classic track is in fair to okay shape because of hard crusty snow. Hopefully it snows again so the trails can be groomed properly.

I skied the trails while grooming was occurring. All skate lanes and classic tracks being worked on. An hour after skating deck was groomed the fresh grooming firmed up nicely in the 9 degree weather. With the crusty snow and old tracks the new track is not perfect but decent enough overall. Thanks groomer Tom for working today getting two county trails decent for the weekend.

Ungroomed - classic track icy, skate poor shape, uneven and needs good grooming. Has not been groomed in a while. If you have backcountry skis its ok.

Has not been groomed since last snow fall. Good coverage with some debris just difficult skate skiing with no recent grooming. Met some folks at the brewery in town that told us the grooming equipment is down so it may not be groomed for some time now.
