Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I groomed all 17km of skate lanes again this morning, two passes with the knives down, to create an inch of loose snow on top. Skating will be fast and fun for good skiers. Classic tracks are old, icy and not safe on the big hills.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I groomed all of the skate lanes, at least two passes each, with the knives on the Ginzu down, to loosen up an inch or so of the hard-packed snow. Vey fast but still safe for skating. I didn't set new tracks because it is too hard. The tracks vary from pretty good to washed out and icy.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I scarified the skate lanes this morning on all 17km and it's now smoother and much better, especially where deer had trampled all over it. I didn't set new tracks because the snow pack is pretty hard and the existing tracks are mostly just fine.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails are in excellent condition, especially for skating. I groomed the skate lanes this morning (classic tracks were fine), then skated after lunch. Much better than yesterday (faster, smoother).

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I classic skied a few kilometers this afternoon to compare the skin skis with the waxable skis (regular kick wax, maybe klister would have been better) - the grip/kick was way better with the skins. Del was grooming trails with the LMC and Adam was setting tracks with the tracked 4' wheeler and Ginzu. The snow was very fast and surprisingly firm despite difficult grooming conditions (wet snow, above freezing temps). It should be excellent conditions tomorrow, especially for skating, and probably better/ safer after the temps get above freezing again so it's not too fast!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Excellent conditions for skate and classic skiing. We had a small middle school group here today and it was perfect conditions for novice skiers (easy to control the skis). We expect great conditions for the Hinder binder race on Saturday!

Grooming

I groomed the trails again this morning. The 2+"of new snow groomed in nicely, leaving soft but still excellent conditions for skate and classic.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Received about 2" snow overnight so I groomed everything (17k, 11 trails) this morning. Excellent conditions. I will be grooming again tomorrow or Wednesday, if more snow is received. We expect excellent conditions for the Hinderbinder race on Saturday.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All of the loops and the Connector Trail to Rib Lake trail were groomed today. We only got about 1/2" snow last night but it groomed in nicely and covered much of the "dirt" in the tracks. Excellent skate lane and very good tracks. Should be great conditions for the Hinderbinder Race next Saturday (Jan 18)!
