I skied all of the trails, mid -morning till noon, and hit the window of good skiing - not icy but pretty fast for an hour or so, then the temp got above freezing and the glide was not as good. Excellent conditions, perfect tracks, but one pretty big bare ground spot on the Skidder trail (at the base of a south facing hill) it's bad but avoidable. Skin skis had better grip than waxable skis but Start brand Oslo wax was good until the snow warmed up.

Adam groomed trails this morning (again) after a 3" (heavy/wet) snowfall. I waited until after 5:30 pm. to ski; it was fabulous, with a glaze on the surface, a great sunset, and an almost full moon! The 17 km of trails include a 12.5 km course marked for "virtual Birkie" skiers.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that Adam groomed trails again this morning and had finished the 12.5k race course route as I arrived to ski around 8:30. Using skin skis, with temperature.at 0 Celsius, the groom was excellent, kick was very good, and glide was fair. As th,e temp went up, my skis slowed way down. All in all, a beautiful day to ski!

Adam groomed all 17km this morning, with the Pisten Bully. Excellent conditions. The key for great skiing now is to find the right time in the morning (before it gets too warm) to ski.

Excellent skiing conditions here. It's a little slow today, with a dusting of new snow, but the trails will be groomed again (Pisten Bully) for the weekend. This just got added to the list of recommended sites for the virtual Birkie/Korte. We will have a 12.5 km course marked for doing that. No trail fee required. Sign in at the camp office (Ministry Center).

I classic skied most of the ten loops today, in spite of the minus 2degree temps. With a half-inch of new snow, it was a slow ski but a really good workout. Then I came across the trails where the Pisten Bully was grooming- what a difference! I found out that Adam was just grooming the 4 "easy" loops, about 5km. This is a great training spot for birkie skiers, lots of hills, great scenery (big pines and hemlock trees), and never crowded!

All of the trails were groomed with the Pisten Bully today. After getting about 10" snow on Thursday, we finally have great snow depth. All loops are in excellent condition!
