Grooming

Snowing heavy today with 10-12 inches on the ground and still snowing. I leveled twice then tracked green loop around Pallette only and leveled and packed the rest. We plan to groom after the forecast snow tomorrow unless other priorities come up. Road in to trail not plowed as of 2:30 today so only 4wd with good clearance should attempt. Boulder Junction will need time to clean up town roads. Conditions on green loop good but tracks covering over fast, but good enough to ski.

Fantastic conditions today at this classic-only single-tracked gem. Freshly groomed yesterday and the track set up well overnight. Joanie and I have been skiing this trail for the last 25 years and it is one of our favorites in the state. Thanks so much to groomer, Dan Jacoby, who has been the caretaker of this trail for many years. You make our trip from Madison more than well worth the drive.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Very good conditions at Escanaba Trail. 10 - 12 inches new snow lately. Was able to level track and groom. Very little debris but some wind may lead to drifting in the usual areas along the lakes. Super scenic too as ice still on trees and snow clinging to branches. 16-20 inches of snow on a picnic table near the Research station down the hill from the trail head.
