After visiting the Raven trails, Joanie and I strided the long Red Loop here just before dusk. We met Lynn the groomer just as she finished her great work on the trails. It was a fun ski on double classic-tracked trails with a nice flow. Thanks for the grooming!

Skied the Yellow Loop this morning. Skiable, but needs grooming. Track is somewhat broken down and blown over in areas. It was snowing pretty good while we skied.

Some of the best ski conditions ever. Newly groomed, tracks were firm and fast, no debris or hiking prints. Hats off to the groomer, great job. Thank you.

Excellent conditions on these classic only double tracked 2-way trails. Tracks were set deep by the Ginzu groomer and control was fine. Not much traffic (skiers or walkers) since grooming. Much of the forest adjacent to these trails has been logged and only some/many(?) of the older hemlocks and red pines were spared. Very little dense forest left in the area. However my guess is that the DNR rangers utilized the wide logging roads to create the wider 2-way trails that have a nice gentle up and down flow with long stretches without tight corners, making it a trail system skiable for most. Also the 2-way system is really nice for family skiing and groups of skiers with range of pacing. Kick was found at 30 degrees and light mist falling with Rode Viola waxes.

The trail received around 1"-2" of snow on Tuesday. The forecast for Wednesday is calling for more snow and freezing rain. The trail will likely be groomed again on Thursday.
