Trails flow on hilly terrain along Rice Creek on Ramsey County open space land. Maintained by Irondale high school ski team and volunteers. Access from Irondale athletic fields or Poppyseed Drive. Also known locally as Irondale Nordic Ski Trails.

Firsthand: Classic 
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Nice evening for a ski at Irondale Trails. They were rolled after all but an inch of the fresh snow fell, so a good base covered by an inch of fluff. We also enjoyed the new solar powered motion sensitive lighting. Thanks to the groomers for rolling the trail.

Trails were rolled both yesterday and today. Very good coverage throughout. No classic track set yet - need a little more snow to set classic track Unfortunately foot traffic. Apparently Winter Carnival medallion hunters are in the area. Fields by school are getting wind blown and very cold, much warmer in the woods!
