Groomed this afternoon. 99% of the trail is in good condition and certainly skiable with good skis. The dirt is trying to win in a couple of places and if the weather is warm it may win a bit more. If you have the luxury of picking your time to ski (i.e. not solidly frozen or not too warm and soft) there is still great skiing to be had.

What a great trail. I haven't skied such and up down twisty trail before. Irondale will keep you on your toes. There seems to be a good base, let's hope it survives any warm up. I skated but there is a very nice classic set which looked shallow but firm.

Trails groomed this morning. Good coverage. Good skis, at least for now. Won't be groomed again until after the weekend as we're all heading to ski camp. Hopefully the weather will cooperate for a re-groom early next week. Get out there while the snow cooperates. It's great skiing.

Oh boy, what a treat! Arrived around 6:30 pm to a perfectly groomed skate deck -- appeared to have been groomed again after high school practice. The trail was firm but not too hard, great glide and good edging -- absolutely fantastic! Trails seem wider than previous years and leveler too. The motion detection lights were great, although a few downhills had lights out. (Advice: Ski in groups at night, the led person activates the lights.) Such a great treasure to have this ski trail in the north metro, and so well maintained by the Irondale boosters! Two laps, including the practice field by the school, was just over 5K.

Great, natural snow trails at Irondale this morning. Some oak leaves, and a bit of an icy patch dropping from fields to wooded section. The new(to me) corkscrew leaving the swampy area had some dirt, but it's a bonus section, so avoid if worried about scratches. Looking forward to seeing it again.

Classic and skate skied trails this afternoon into the evening. Everything had been rolled in the afternoon and had set up nicely. Special thanks to head groomer! He did a great job packing first snow of the season! There were lots of oak leaves but good coverage throughout the trails. We will not be able to groom trails again until the weekend at earliest - hard to tell what will happen with weekend weather. Our solar LED lights were coming on at dusk for a great early evening ski!
