Full coverage, minus the path crossings, and perfect depth for ungroomed skiing. Surprisingly good glide, the snow was not sopping wet like I expected. I skated, and it was a little herky-jerky when I would catch an edge on dirt beneath the snow. I think classic skiing on fish scales would not clump and be a more enjoyable experience. Saw other tracks out there as well! Should be good tonight and tomorrow morning, provided the clouds stick around.

It was type 2 fun skiing on the corpse of this winter's grooming, and I learned that it is possible to glide on wet woodchips! While 90% of the trails are still covered, including the two asphalt crossings, burnout on some of the hills prevented continuous skiing. I'm guessing this will be completely unskiable by tomorrow afternoon.

Skate deck and tracks were primo throughout! It's rare you can kick up all the hills, but the cold conditions have the course flowing wonderfully. Tracks are glazed and ski faster than you'd expect at -5. Pretty much all the oak leaves have blown down, meaning the tracks should stay skiable. If you're looking for a short, winter sheltered, challenging loop this weekend, look no further!

Good snow coverage throughout, with only one icy spot near the fields. B skis due to leaves and sticks blowing onto trail. Classic tracks are well used but not drifted over. The skate lane is firm. This is a great place to ski through the woods on a cold day and stay out of the wind.

Definitely skiable, but showing some wear. Especially on up and down hills. More leaves present, occasional wood chips, but no rocks or asphalt. B skis trending towards rock, but not there yet. Perhaps 75% tracked, with some sections washed out.

Irondale skiers and parents just finished shoveling hills, corners, and thin spots. Please consider postponing your ski until we have a chance to groom on Monday. Thanks!

Gave the trails a couple of runs today. Packed and fast. Some sections had a lot of branches and wood chips, some avoidable dirt, and other sections were surprisingly nice. One big positive: almost no leaves to grab the skis. Good coverage at road crossings. I used B skis without issue, but rock skis would be a safer choice. Great ski, thank you to the groomer!

The trails are getting quite deteriorated and could really use some new snow. Mostly woodchips showing through but I wouldn't risk it with skis you care about.
