Soft but great ski deck for skate. Classic trails pretty good too. A little mushy in spots and frozen groomer tracks here and there. Great job, Mitch.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Spent a few hours working in the new snow. Skate deck is soft, as expected, and will take a bit to get leveled out to my standards. Set a classic track and it was better than expected. There are some small patches of slush and ice here and there, but overall it turned out better than expected given the warm wet snow.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed, Bare ground ]
Please stay off the trails in the short term to preserve better conditions in the long term. We don't want to compresss th snow and create conditions that will turn to water ice when the temperature drops. We will watch the temps and snow conditions closely over the next few days and hopefully can get a nice course set as soon and mother nature allows.

Good skiing for rock skis. Kudos to the groomer I saw shoveling in some of the thin spots, hard to avoid when you have windy conditions after snowfalls on a GC.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Marginal conditions, but more or less skiable. It was groomed before last snow, but the wind has blown off several areas and left others with a bit of snow. Skating would probably be a bit better. More snow needed, but ok for a first of the season ski.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
As many golf courses are likely reporting - inconsistent windblown snow. Most of the grooming is really being done to setup for success in the coming days/weeks. The outer loop is in pretty good shape, inner loop is more windblown. Wind is shifting and still going so we will continue to work the snow more when it calms down. This early in the season the golf course crew is still finishing tree work as well, so there are some areas that will be disrupted due to that in the coming week or two.

Grooming

Groomed the course at 6pm. Skate deck only. Not sure if we have enough to set a classic track but will assess that tomorrow. Good coverage overall. Wind will likely have its way over the next day but it looks good for this time of year.
