A winter wonderland! All trails open and as good as they get. None of the hills are too fast for novice skiers right now.

The trail to the trout stream was very good with 1-2 inches of fresh powdery snow over the previously groomed track. Thanks to the groomer!

Skied all the system including Doan Lake and the trail to the north parking lot. The track was mostly in good shape, but a lot of leaves and twigs had blown into the track in some areas. Where there was little debris, the conditions were great, and the glide was pretty good for subzero conditions.

Wonderful fresh powder and soft tracks in good shape. Blue wax covering polar provided excellent kick. These conditions are very forgiving and a great time for novice skiers to try some of the rolling trails of Itasca County.

Rolled and tracked all Trout Lake system trails. Light fluffy new snow so tracks are a little soft. Best skiing we've had for quite awhile.

[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Surprisingly good conditions. Used skins and wouldn't recommend waxed skis with the amount of debris blown around. Spent an equal amount of time skiing and plucking sticks and branches out of the packed trail. At 25 degrees both activities were enjoyable!

Trail in good condition, could use a little more snow. Track set and quite fast due to wet snow then froze. Some broken and overhang branches on trail, please help and remove branches from trail.
