[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Snow base depth 27", Snowfall average depth 44". There's plenty of fresh, white, sugary powder to enjoy these days. Thanks so much for not parking directly in front of the trail access, and for cleaning up after your dogs. Take time to marvel at the fine sculpting, compliments of the wind, and have a lovely adventure!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The groomers spent several hours cutting down drifts and combing the trail like gorgeous cake frosting! The chilly temperatures did not dissuade adventure seekers from enjoying the freshly set tracks. A few reminders: Thanks for keeping the front of the trail access free of parked vehicles, and kudos for keeping snowshoe use to the left side of the corridor. Snow base depth 19", Snowfall average depth 39".

Skied the loop in the afternoon. Classic track mostly gone either blown in with new snow or trampled by snow shoes. Lots of snow and beautiful woods but I would suggest leaving the skis behind until it's re-tracked.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied this loop after doing Cascade earlier in the day. The snow has been groomed, but no classic tracks set recently. That being said, the snow is in good condition, and there are good tracks from prior skiers on much of the trail. Very little debris, and a beautiful day to ski!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Today's grooming endeavor carved down some of the drifts created by the magnanimous winds we've received lately. Continued frigid temperatures should help to set the soft spots. As always, please clean up after yourselves and your dogs. Conditions are excellent, so bundle yourselves and your critters up and get out there!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
George Washington Pines was groomed this morning at 9:30. Temperature was -14 F but a few hearty skiers were out and ready to hit the trail right after we got done. Get out and enjoy the skiing and the warmer weather that's on the way. Just a friendly reminder to folks.... if you could avoid parking in front of the trail entrance our groomers would appreciate it. Thanks and enjoy! Snow base depth = 17”, Snowfall in the last 24 hours = 3”, Snowfall in the last 7 days = 3”, Snowfall average depth = 25”.

Excellent base with lots of fluffy new snow. No trail debris or bare spots anywhere. Nicely groomed deep tracks. With the tall towering pines and the stillness of the woods it was so peaceful. Towards the end of the trail you can hear a stream running down below the right side of the trail - magical!
