Packed several times and laid a track. Also cut back a couple of trees. Should be in good shape for the weekend. Enjoy.

Firsthand: Classic

Tracks haven't been set in quite a while. Trail appears to be mostly just hiking, snowshoeing, and dog trail. Punchy and unpleasant to ski. There is also a small tree down on the south end.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Clean-up after the blizzard has been ongoing, the trail is open and skiable but there is still a lot of tree debris in tracks. Trails were packed with a snowmobile pulling the groomer and then classic tracks were also set. The snow on the trail base is very hard-packed due to the colder temperatures. People are able to walk, ski, or snowshoe comfortably on the trail at this time. Classical tracks are shallow and contains some tree debris. The trail is seeing a lot of mixed use, so please be mindful of not walking or snowshoeing on the classic tracks.

I would snowshoe over skiing. Lots of trees down and not groomed. Go left if you are skiing, if you go right as the trail directs you can only get about 1k total in. Walking without snowshoes also looked challenging with the deep snow.

Parking is plowed, snowbank about 3ft high, trail has a few inches of drift and lots of stuff over it. Small tree down across the trailhead, and a bigger one blocking the start of the loop.

Observation
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All creek crossings have firmed up since last grooming. Warm conditions over last weekend left the base pretty crusty, but the recent powder and cold temps are making skiing crisp and smooth! The trail is starting to see plenty of traffic from all user groups despite the cold temps. Thank you for keeping the classic tracks clear and the trailhead open for the groomers! 11" trail base, 3" in last 24 hours, 3" in last 7 days, 14" average depth off trail.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
There are still occasional rocks and wet spots near Elbow Creek, and some brush poking through the snow. We still need more snow to level out the terrain but tracks are setting nicely with each pass of the groomer. Moderate use since our last grooming. Try to keep snowshoes out of the classic tracks, especially where the trail gets narrow. 7" trail base, 0" in last 24 hours, 5" in last 24 hours, 12" average depth off trail.
