Trail Detail
Notes
Part of the Governor Knowles State Forest, Brandt Pines is an old-growth stand of large red and white pine along the St. Croix River. Throughout much of the trail, you will either be on the top overlooking the ravine, or right down in it.Trail Reports

Was surprised to see fresh skate and classic groomed trails. Saw nobody, doesn't look like too many people come here but the trail and scenery are spectacular. Fantastic conditions. It looked groomed all the way up the Hwy 77 but we just did the Ravine Trail. The River View trail was not groomed but was an adventurous scenic route that someone had bushwacked a trail through. A few steep hills that we took our skis off so we didn't break any bones going down. Several Old Growth White Pines with a view of the St. Croix in total isolation.
