[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Arrived to find groomed and tracked trails! The tracks were fast and good throughout except where they were wiped out from the groomer grooming the skate lanes. The groomed skate lane looked to be fast, firm and good as well. No dirt or ice. Not all was freshly groomed, but enough to make a great ski day. The bike trails that were groomed looked great. The snowshoe trails were firm and fun. Great views on snowshoe trails. The chalet has a toasty fire to warm up by after your ski. Tomorrow should also be a great day to get out and enjoy some end of winter fun.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
We have plenty of snow, it is just difficult to work with today. We have rolled and compact a portion of the trails but conditions are too heavy and wet to use our Yellowstone Ginzu groomers. We will open at 11 AM today to anyone wanting to ski. Tracks will not be set and expect soft conditions and pole plants. The Northern Trails are all that have been compacted. This includes the 2.65k loop and the first portions of the 7k and 10k to post J. Then J back to the Chalet. Come enjoy the extended season! We will continue to do what we can today and tomorrow and hope to be able to perform better grooming early Saturday once the temperatures drop again.

Calendar still says winter but spring skiing in full sunny glory at WinMan. I hit the trails late afternoon just as the tracks were glazing and fishscales were just the ticket. Skate lane was soft but not rutted. Should be scary fast in the morning.

Skiing was excellent first thing in the morning on the groomed trails. The groomer was still out while I was skiing and the ungroomed trails were icy. Temps were in the low 30s and I had the trails to myself. I skied from 8am to 10:30am. Warmer temps in the afternoons soften the skate deck too much. Don't put your skis away yet. There is still great skiing to be had.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All of our trails are open as we are maintaining about a 12" base. A majority of the trails were tilled and groomed this morning and conditions are actually very good currently. All trails to the north have been groomed as well as the entire 7k loop.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
With 2" of snow overnight the grooming team was out early this morning. All skate lanes were combed and tracks reset throughout the system with the exception of the Out-n'-Back and between posts J and S. Conditions will be slightly soft with the new snow and warming temperatures today but still a great late season day to get out and have a blast.

We came up from south of the cheddar curtain for a long weekend of classical skiing and are staying and skiing around Minocqua where many of the trails here have all been icy. We read the report here about Winman trails which we have never skied before. We skied the Red 10 K trail and tracks were in great shape, the trail was scenic and well cared for. The shelter/warming house was quite impressive and the trails were well marked. We will definitely be back next year on one of our up north trips. Thanks to all the groomers on all the trails and thanks to skinnyski site for all the great info.

I skied here for the first time. Grooming was good with new snow mixed in. An excellent shelter. Pretty good maps out on the trails. Not the most challenging course but you could tell it seemed to be well cared for.

I skied the red loop, including the out and back, and then the orange loop for a total of 17 kilometers. I would rate overall conditions as good considering what the groomers had to work with. The skate deck was covered with tilled up icy crust that had been groomed back into the skate deck. It felt like I was gliding on a layer of finely crushed ice. Glide was good and control on the steep downhills was surprisingly good. It was easy to control speed on the downhills. Occasionally, I dropped into the classic tracks on the long downhills. The classic tracks were firm and fast.

We skied WinMan for the first time today. There several inches of snow covering up the icy snow so conditions were good and it was snowing when we were there. The trail was scenic. We will visit again. I would recommend it to skiers from central or southern Wisconsin looking for a place to ski this weekend.
