Skied all trails south of Glenwood Ave. Spectacular scenery with snow on all the branches. Snow is a little soft, your poles will sink in a little. There are classic tracks almost all the time.

Unsure how I've neglected Theodore Wirth South. Thank you groomers! Best in class. Paw prints from hikers where supposedly ski only (394, Quaking Bog, Norm Oakvik, Erickson ). Mostly cosmetic on Norm Oakvik. Slow, wetter snow but made up for it as had trails to myself and perfect night for skiing. Looked like they saw more hikers vs. skiers use on Monday.

Started this beautiful day with all the Butler and Bog trails. The skate deck was fairly bumpy and uneven but quite doable with plenty of snow coverage. The downhills were quite exciting and exhilarating! And the long uphill climbs were still there. Then crossed Glenwood and did the JD Gardens, Tornado Alley, Skyline and Bridge trails which were much better. In fact, Tornado Alley was close to excellent with decent snow coverage under Hwy 55. Lots of folks of all ages, with many classical skiers!

The snow was cold and squeaky in Eloise and the Bog this morning. But the sunrise was beautiful on the snow laden trees. Great coverage everywhere. Some debris in a few spots from fallen wood. There is a low hanging large branch on the downhill in Eloise after the meadow that looks like it could be a hazard. It's clear from the snow-plowing up to it that nobody can tell how low it is until they are underneath. The Wirth Lake trail to JD Rivers was very icy and hard. The rest of the deck elsewhere was firm and hard but not icy.

Skied Eloise, Erickson and Oakvick trails. I have skied hear the most of my life, and today was just the best in recent memory. Stopped a lot and looked at the beauty. Thought about my family growing up in the park and also Norm Oakvik. Get out there and just smile a mile.

This is the best classic skiing I have seen in bog and butler in 20 years. Perfect track set to skiers right, covering probably 90% of the course. Track was pulled only on the steep hills. Skate deck is perfectly flat.

Many thanks to the hard working groomers! Butler, Bog, and Gardens were rolled soon after the storm. They regroomed again tonight and set tracks. Wirth Lake has quite a bit of slush which might be preventing grooming there. Some of the best skiing in years. Lots of skiers out enjoying the trails.

Pretty good conditions on Bridge, Tornado, JD, and the Lake trail. Tracks were a bit thin on the lake itself, but serviceable. Tracks everywhere else were decent to perfect with some washed out corners occasionally. Skate deck was firm, but didn't really see any iced spots.
