Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Full coverage, well groomed and firm. Skate lane still had some coordoroy when I went out around 9, classic lanes were set throughout and looked to be in good shape. Great morning ski. Thank you groomers! Racing is in progress on the north side so trails were closed for the races on that side.

Epic conditions on all South Wirth trails for early morning headlamp skiing. Jar Hill to Brownie Lake - even over 394 - is race ready. I used race skis without issue. Great grooming! Classic tracks in the Bog are mostly good too. Epic skating deck.

Skied all trails between Gleenwood and 394. Good trail conditions. Firm and fast but very little ice. However, be careful on the first sharp downhill left turn on the Anwatin trail. Some ice there and my skis decided to go two different directions.

Skied Chain of Lakes to Trailhead. Grateful that the whole route is open! Very good snow and grooming for skating. Quaking Bog has classic tracks while most of Eloise Butler does not.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Great classic ski on the Quaking Bog and Eloise Butler trails this morning. Classic tracks were worn down in places, but overall very good. There was some debris, but mostly leaves so good skis should be ok. Skate deck looked just about perfect.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed the skate deck in Bog and Butler this morning. Tried to preserve the classic track. Skiing should be very good. Complete coverage. Some tree liter but nothing abrasive that would damage skis.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied mid-afternoon from Wirth Lake parking lot over to the Bog area, Brownie, Cedar Lake, a bit of the channel and back via the hilly Anwatin trail. Overall pretty decent and a lot of fun! Classic tracks were OK most of the way, some places a bit washed out, but were especially good on the lakes. In the woods, there was some debris, especially some errant oak leaves and a few sticks, etc. Yes, some boot prints in the Bog/Eloise Butler area but on Brownie and Cedar it appeared all the walkers and fat bikers I saw were staying off the ski tracks and skate deck. Beautiful day to be out and ski these trails and the lakes!

Good grooming classic and skate. Eloise Butler had sections of deep boot prints, bog also with some footprints. Fast and firm.

Afternoon

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied all trails between Glendale and 394. By 4pm the trails had seen a lot of use and were soft. Found a little ice on some of the turns on Norm and Anwatin but otherwise good conditions.

Bog Butler Brownie groomed at 8pm and track set. Should be excellent tomorrow. Skate deck is fairly wide and all sections have classic track, even the 394 bridge.
