Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Fast, but a bit bumpy and getting thin as the sun set on one of the last days of this pathetic ski season. A couple bare spots to ski around. One thin ATV crossing with sneaky rocks under the snow. Get out during one of the golden hours if you can.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Lots of wet snow fell over the last two days. Deck groomed and tracks reset. Trail looks smoother than it has all year with the new snow over the firm base. Heading out to ski it!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed and tracked the trail tonight. It continues to snow and is quite windy/drifty, but the plan is to groom again Thursday morning with hopes of continued grooming and skiing through the weekend.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Inch or two of snow on top of this morning's grooming. Soft, slow conditions getting the full-depth tracks skied in... Got some help on subsequent laps so they are well skied in now. Deck soft. Coverage is great... Could probably use good skis, but it is lumpy out there and warm temps. Great fun... Enjoy soon!

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
The inch of new snow and colder temps overnight provided passable rock ski conditions with just a few bare spots. Some really nice sections especially on the SISU Trail segments. Managed to get in a solid 15k before hanging it up for maybe the last time this season. But Miners volunteer groomers told me they will keep going with new snow in the forecast.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Spring skiing lives at Miners. Rough going for sure but some decent stretches — although the iron range was rearing its red head in other spots. Caution required for sure! Ironwood got about 10 inches of lake effect snow last Sunday.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
The sun took a toll on the trails today. Still skiable, but quite a few bare spots. The season of rock skiing continues.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Groomed the deck and set a shallow track. Classic and skate skied it after grooming. Decent rock skiing, but sun came out and was melting things rapidly.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The snow continued throughout the day, so I headed back tonight to roll and comb the trail. The end result looks pretty good and I would rate the trail as B skis at this point. Earlier today, one and a half passes were made with a roller and comb, but tonight it was rolled and combed to the full width. Amazingly enough these are some of the best conditions we've seen all season. Grooming plans: Another groomer plans to go out later in the day tomorrow, and if the snow continues, setting a track might be possible.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
All trails appear to have been rolled and combed this morning. The skiing this afternoon was pretty good with a few inches of fresh snow on top. Still coming down no track set. Conditions looked only improve with continued snow and cold so nice to ski again!
