5" of new powder fell last night. 35K is rolled, combed, and track set. The new is soft with a 2"-4" base that is hard and frozen. The skiing is amazing for October. Tracks in October!

Great morning ski with many of the local enthusiasts ready to hit real snow. I used Rossi Zymax for skate and then swapped out to the Evo for classic 3-5 inch base rolled - staying frozen nicely. Skiers on the trails are pleasantly surprised with how well the conditions are and worth the trip for those coming in from Boulder and also Vail Nordic.

Received about 6-12" of fresh cold powder over the last 24 hours. It is still snowing today and expect another 2" or so. Snowmobile packed with a Ginzu about 12K last night. The base is frozen and skiing is good for early season. Great Evo conditions for kicking around on classic skis. I would not skate yet. 10 day weather at the Ranch looks like winter is here to stay!
