Notes
These classic single-tracked trails are set in the remote boreal forest of Isabella on Superior National Forest. The trails wind along lakeshores and through spruce/tamarack bogs and old pine, fir, aspen, and birch forests. Skiers can experience a wilderness character on mostly beginner to intermediate loops. Excellent conditions. Trails were groomed on Friday. Bring your polar wax. It's gonna be chilly for a spell. New fat bike trails are packed too. Come check 'em out and give us some feedback.

Very good conditions. Skied the trails yesterday afternoon with some blue wax: 2 to 1 to 18 to 19 to 20 to 16 to 17 to 3 to 2 and back home to NFL. Awesome with the exception of a broken ski pole basket. Get your polar wax out for the next few days. We have too much availability on weekend of February 1st! Please come visit! Also, if you've been skiing the trails, please take time to leave a report.

Many skiers enjoyed the trails this past weekend and reported good ski conditions. Fat bikers indicated the trails were on the soft side. Still very good conditions. Trails got some traffic over the weekend but track conditions remain good. About 3 feet of snow off the trails and 10-20" base.

Excellent conditions after a foot of snow. Still working the trails. About 50% tracked, including fat bike trails. Out this morning to hopefully finish up in time for more snow later today. Flathorn public access was not plowed as of yesterday, but the loop and adjacent trails are groomed. 10-18" packed base. 24" plus trail-side.
