Things have warmed up quite a bit from earlier this week, but that doesn't mean conditions have suffered! Tracks have set up quite well and the skate deck is firm with just a little give. Tracks are set through the system, but the quality does vary on the upper loops. There are some stretches with no tracks due to ice issues underneath the snow surface.

Conditions are coming back after our rain event, with very firm skate decks after two nights of below zero weather and the classic tracks are coming back into form with a little warmer temp to allow some moisture into the snow again. Classic tracks have been set in the upper loops, though the quality is variable. There are some sections with nice deep tracks but they do get shallow in areas with ice underneath and low snow coverage. The upper loops are in decent condition, but there is some debris and dirt in a few places and some ice floes to watch for.

We have survived the rain, thaw and freeze of the past couple days and are happy to say that the core 1k loop is still in great condition. The upper loops have some large ice floes and dirt showing through, so travel up there is not highly recommended. This morning, the stadium area will be tracked and the system will have a fresh till, but plans are to do some leveling and beautification work through the trails with our big machines. Expect periodic closures of some areas if you do come out today; the trails will be even better once we're done.

[ Trails: Closed, Good skis ]
Looks like the snow that was predicted for the overnight turned into sleet and ice instead. Everything is covered in a good crust this morning with a heavy mist/fog lingering about. We will not be opening our trails today due to the unsafe conditions from this storm, but do hope to get some work done this afternoon/evening to bust up the ice and get everything back up and operational for tomorrow.

I headed to GANC this morning betting on the grooming.....it paid off. Eric and the Spirit team continue to deliver, it was simply perfect. As noted, classic tracks are only on the lower trails, but the skating surface throughout was fast, flat and firm. There are a couple of corners up high that have a little dirt tilled up, but nothing you can't step around. If you want a sure thing head to GANC!

It's a beautiful morning at the center! Mid 20s overnight mean a great base and solid skate decks and tracks! The whole system has been refreshed, with only classic tracks on the lower 1k still with the approaching snow tonight into tomorrow, we are planning to do some leveling and pushing in various spots through the system in areas that just aren't quite level or maybe a little thin. If you do come out tomorrow, expect some periodic closures on the main loop and outer loops through the morning. We apologize for the inconvenience of it, but it's only going to make the trails better.

Beautiful snow this morning, with temps dipping just below freezing last night the snow was able to settle a bit to provide yet another good base. Classic tracks have been refreshed and should be set up nicely. All trails have had the skate deck groomed, and classic tracks are only set on the main 1k loop.

Skate deck has been refreshed this morning, left the classic tracks alone due to the warmer temps projected and they have seen little use so they are solid. Expect the skate deck to be a little soft today, temperatures will rise and stay high, but it should provide just enough "give" for great skiing! Stadium area has a few passes, but most is untouched from yesterday. It has been skied in but is nice and firm.

Trail was perfect and fast. The upper Kilometer doesn't have tracks. The full trail skates really well. Nice sustained climb with a flowy upper trail followed by a fast downhill. The Spirit Mt crew is dialing it in. And the sunset, city, and river views are gorgeous from the upper trail.

We're open for business again after yesterday's race! Classic tracks are in and all skate decks on the main 1k loop have been groomed. The outer loops are open to ski, but are not tracked. There is still some final leveling work to do but it is fully skiable! Please take caution as there are some ice patches on the outer loop to lookout for.
