The grooming was very good, a flat deck with very few ridges or ruts. The striding track looked good. Very few bare spots in the pine trees especially in the back. That hill in the back is definitely Birkie quality, they have it groomed wide enough for two people, and it's under a powerline!

This trail system is truly a little known gem. I skated all but the "difficult loop" a couple times today, and yesterday just after they were groomed. A couple areas are getting thin due to sun exposure, but otherwise the trails are in very good condition. Most are firmly packed, but a few soft areas exist. Classic tracks are set but also suffering in a few areas from the lack of snow. Very little debris on the trails, making for two splendid outings.

First time on these amazing trails, and were very pleasantly surprised. We skated all the trails, sans a small portion of "difficult loop", as that was not well packed and too soft. While there were portions of some thin spots and a little debris in expected spots, this system is very well groomed and clearly underutilized- some amazing stretches throughout, with wide tracks and enough width for the few climbs. Even the powerline climb was holding snow well, and it's a blast zooming back down. While there are some fresher snow/less packed spots here and there, you are definitely able to get in a skate groove throughout the system. Looks like classic tracks were attempted throughout the trails (sometimes double), with variable depth depending on location. Well worth a visit and a gem in this area, for sure!

Just enough snow depth combined with recent grooming and a little fresh snow made for very enjoyable skate skiing today. Pleasant change from trail conditions near Baraboo, well worth the 50 minute drive. B skis will be appreciated if you have them. Classic tracks good but need more snow.

Skied this three times this week. They groomed this morning with about a half inch of new snow so the surface was pretty good. The back loop has some decent rolling hills even though it's only a couple miles long. On the far back if you take a right, or south, there's a hill there that rivals the Birkie hills for practicing on. The trails are all in pine plantations. Basically if you're close by, this is a good place for a workout.

Groomed the skate this morning. Pretty good snow coverage. Didn’t touch the classic tracks because of very limited snow and didn’t want to uncover the debris. Forgot to take pictures, but overall should be a solid day on the snow.
