The conditions were excellent today at Hyland. We skied some of the natural loops as well as the man made. The Lake and Hill Trails both had firm, well formed classic tracks, and a very good skate lane. Thanks to the groomers! There were only a few skiers on the trail this morning--mainly our group. The parking lot by the visitor center was only half full--amazing!!

To our winter family: Come out and enjoy the natural snow trails! We have tons of snow! The best groomers! All trails -- Star, Willow Creek, Frog Town, Scenic Foothills, Boulder Ridge, Lake, Oak Knob, Hill, North, Nature Center -- are packed tracked and in good condition. Trail lights are on 8.3 K.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated all the trails starting at noon, few other skiers, temp 16F, also using the tracks occasionally, which were good and fast. Snow making loop in fine condition; natural snow trails a bit wavy/bumpy, with about another inch or so of snow since the 5:00 am grooming. My LF5 over CH4 ranged from good to excellent, best on stuff like the Hill Trail. In summary, a great day to ski.

A beautiful sunny day at Hyland on all the trails. Man made snow trails superb, deep tracks and natural snow trails a little shallow in places but still nice. They had not groomed recently. We are so lucky to have such a wealth of ski trails in the metro.

Classic skied this morning. The trails with lights had recently been groomed and were in great shape. The tracks on the remaining trails were washed out in many spots and were in need of grooming.
