Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Bunker Hills Park and Bunker Hills Golf Course combed and tracked today. Working with icy base, the skate deck is not as true as we've seen recently, with some washboarding, but still decent skating. The classic track is in good condition.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Combed and tracked Bunker Hills Golf Course and Skijor today. Skate deck and classic track in very good condition, and should set up nicely. The only exceptions are the areas on Skijor along the railroad tracks north of the dog park that were damaged by utility work--there are three bare areas that can be avoided, but B skis recommended. For those who don't know, you don't have to have a dog to use Skijor--all skiers welcome! It's a 6K run through oak savanna and some nice topography, with connectors to cut it shorter if you like. You'll likely see some birds of prey and maybe deer. Bunker Park was last groomed on Friday and is still pretty decent, with a freshening coming up soon.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Skied a handful of the trails north and south of the campground. The snow is in nice shape. No bare spots, only a handful of oak leaves. I had a great time.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
With sub-freezing temps this morning we groomed out what we could before temps warmed. Six Flat got the Bully out and combed and tracked Bunker Park--skate deck and classic track in real good condition. We won't get to Bunker Golf Course and Skijor until next week. Both of these sites have some snow cover on them but are still very skiable. It seems the oak leaves are falling at a slower rate now. Note that there are some bare areas on Skijor north of the dog park, as we try to recover from some utility work. These areas can be avoided but B skis recommended.

Really nice classic skiing today, excellent tracks. Great fresh grooming and not too many oak leaves as yet, despite the gusty winds.

Bunker Hills Park, Golf Course, and Skijor are combed and tracked. Skate deck and classic track in very good condition. With the moisture in the snow and dropping temps, trails should get hard and fast quick.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
With recent snows we were able to rejuvenate the base on Skijor, which had been closed due to base damage from utility work equipment. Skijor has been combed and skate deck is in good condition. No track set. Bunker Park and golf course were combed and tracked yesterday--the skate deck is in good condition, although soft. Classic track in good condition. There's 0.25" of fluff on on the park and golf course trails.
