Night
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Skied at 8PM, 11 below and felt like I had the whole park to myself. Perfect track; slow and squeaky but very few leaves and no footprints. Don't let the cold keep you indoors, layer up and enjoy the abundant snow. There is no poor weather, only poor clothing!

My daughter and skied about 5K today from Schultz Beach. It had been groomed, although some of the treeless segments had been slightly "blown in". In spite of that and the cold, it was fabulous to be skiing at Lebanon Hills.

Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
Stopped at Schultz Lake Trailhead. Trails are freshly groomed and track is set. They look awesome. Not too anxious to ski in the -33F windchill, however.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Temp around -3F and with a light to medium snow falling. It was a quite pleasant ski. Top layer is about 4-6" of light and fluffy snow.

Night
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skiing at -5F. Walkers had done their best to obliterate the tracks on the eastern end and around Holland Lake. Trail was better on the Southern Voyage. Should be a good base.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Packed not tracked. Skied in tracks varied in quality around the outside loop. some spots the snow was deep enough that track setting should be possible. Trees and scenery were beautiful in the -13 C air. I used Toko blue glider and Start Terva Black kick wax and that worked pretty good. Took note of the new poster on the sandwich boards. The new ones are much less passive about ski trail walking, which is a big improvement.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Had a good ski at Lebanon Hills this afternoon. Ski trails had been packed but tracks were not set mechanically but I found plenty of ski tracks set by previous skiers. No bare ground. New fluffy snow on top of frozen packed snow made for a nice and quick ski.

Packed but not tracked. It appears some of the Southern Voyage was also track. Snow coverage was pretty good all around, but icy under the pine trees and some roots were showing in those sections.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails packed by groomer, but not tracked. Skied in tracks. Generally good snow coverage over existing snow/ice base. I used my rock skis, but I think base is good enough for B skis. Pine tree sections have a thinner base. Expect some slipping and sliding sideways. A few icy short skied-in tracks here and there. Skied the outside East section loop starting at Visitors Center.

Morning
Observation
[ Trails Open: Most ]
Went snowshoeing at Jensen lake late this morning. Crossing the ski trail on that end showed it was packed (perhaps end of day yesterday or early this morning) and skier tracked. Coverage looked good at least where we crossed. This morning's snow was quite a bit fluffier than yesterday's concrete.
