Carver is in very good shape given the recent warming. I skated a couple of laps around the King and Grimm Farm loops. There are no unavoidable bare spots and little leaf or twig debris on the trails. The downhills are getting snowplowed into oblivion but still very ski-able. The tracks were set and seemed good but not great.

Skate deck was freshly groomed and in very nice condition. Some leaves/twigs in the wooded area and some grass showing through in the fields but nothing that was concerning. Classic track looked a little neglected but it's there if you want it.

Not freshly groomed. Looks like it was rolled after snowstorm then skiers sank in and finally it hardened to an uneven ordeal. To top it off a snowmobile made it’s way unto the Grimm trail by the lake. Totally messed up down there.
The classic trail looks ok. I would wait till they groom again to skate, hopefully this week.

Grimm was in fair to good condition. There were avoidable bare spots, particularly next to the lake, and occasional ice and leaf litter. Classic track varied from nonexistent to apparently skier-tracked where it existed. It was 5 to 7 degrees with an appreciable wind. I used FastWax Blue LF, which was probably too warm for the temperature. Glide was good but skating was tough on the uphills, which I herring-boned on the longer ones. Despite the trail conditions, a mild cold and the temperature, I nevertheless had a decent skate. I did the 4.8 miles in a little under 50 minutes and only had my right foot's toes ( plus both thumbs of my mitten-clad hands at the very end) get a little numb from the cold. Not too bad a price to pay considering I was going to let the cold stop me from going at all.

Surprisingly pretty good, the groomers had just finished up as I was heading out. You could see the rock hard surface on the part of the trail where the grooming ended but in the groomed sections of the trail were quite nice. I did the lake trail and the trail up to the road and back. The groomers were able to chew up enough snow to make it skiable, only one small section was hard packed ice and no corduroy but it was easy to pick your way around. I would not recommend classic skiing as the tracks looked like concrete and icy and quite a bit of leaves in the tracks to boot. Just a few cars in the lot by noon.

A few more icy spots, but generally in good condition after yesterday's warm up. I skied King and Grimm short with B skis. Crews were out on King cleaning up debris and a fallen tree. Groomers and trail crew are doing a great job keeping the trail in shape. Hopefully we get more snow soon!

Skied Grimm and King. Coverage is good with just a few bare spots that are easily avoided. Lots of debris in the woods, but good skiing in the open areas. Both trails were tracked but I was in and out of them due to leaves. There is a tree down on King Trail but it's not in a dangerous spot and you can step over it. I got away with using A skis but would recommend B skis because of rapidly accumulating debris due to the high winds.

Skied the King Trail around 4pm. Classic ski. Overall conditions were fair. Some icy spots and some bare spots but 90% of the trail was in good condition. Trail was well tracked for the most part. More snow would help.
