Carver was skiing exceptional at noon today. Velvet corduroy that had seen light traffic or was fresh and untracked on some of the loops. I classic skied a shallow track that was set throughout the park. Track was a bit soft, off camber, light in spots, but no complaints. 99% great coverage with the snow we have and a few burn through spots that are easy to avoid. No worries using good skis. Perfect March ski day.

Great skiing at Carver today. Deck is a bit soft but should firm up. Track is also good for natural snow with some grass poking though in some areas. Grimm, Lake, Sky and Sugarbush have good coverage. King is sloppy from lots of traffic and soft conditions. Groomer was out most of the morning.

I classic skied Grimm Trail and used my best skis with only minor concern. I had to ski out of the tracks a few times to avoid thin areas that appeared to have rocks poking thru. The skate deck was soft but the glide good. The tracks were shallow in places and about 20% had grass poking thru. Having said this, it was a fun a outing.

Skied around noon, great to see so many people out enjoying the day. The fire by the trailhead is a fun addition for warming up between loops. Started with Sugar Bush/Sky/Lake trail and then moved onto Grimm Farm. The trails are overall in pretty good shape. The skate base feels a touch soft, shallow, and uneven which is expected given the lack of snowfall so far this winter. Notable thins patches; some exposed gravel and woodchip patches along Parley Lake, and some exposed grass and mowed stems on Grimm Farm. I thought all caution areas are easily avoided though. Great spot to ski and explore!

Skated all the trails except the Grimm trail. A great day to go skiing, lots of people out, especially kids, nice fire in front of the warming building. I'd say the trails near the warming building were in great shape overall, some long grass sticking through in places but nothing problematic, nicely packed and smooth. The King trail had good coverage overall, but the snow was very soft, not packed much. There were also places on King with quite a bit of longer grass coming through, especially the narrow short stretch through the marsh and the zigzag downhill. I used my good skis and had fun.

King ungroomed, the rest was groomed. A little thin on Grimm by the lake, otherwise great coverage. Classic tracks firm. Hopefully King will be groomed by tomorrow.

Classic skied Grimm and it was packed but no tracks set, good conditions. Some reeds were sticking up in the prairie but it was cold enough to ski over them without sticking. Beautiful ski in the early afternoon sunshine.

Really thin conditions persist at Carver today. Lots of debris sticking through the base and “stuck” a ski on them several times. I will wait for some new snow to return here.

Skied Lake and King and a bit around the base area. Snow bullet proof hard and rutted, thin coverage so lots of foliage poking through. Still very skiable and was fun to be out there, just don’t expect to go fast. Classic tracks looked very washed out in most places.

Parked by the Grimm house and skied the Grimm trail twice. Nearly 100% coverage but glad I had my B skis. There is some tall grass poking through and thin coverage in the open areas but no problem finding sufficient snow. Super quiet compared to Hyland - I only saw three other skiers.
