[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
After rolling trails earlier this week and then grooming the Silver and parts of the Bronze yesterday, the rest of the system was groomed today. Ski Games was groomed and tracks were set; Gold groomed and tracked; World Cup groomed; Bronze grooming completed; ball field groomed and double tracked; Silver well packed and very good. Other trails groomed today are soft but should set up very nicely overnight. Enjoy!

All trails are open at Battle Creek, but only the World Cup section is truly skiable for skating - and it's in amazing shape. The ski games trail across the street has been rolled, but isn't skiable at all -- simply too soft, pokes sunk in 8” or more (it gives you some perspective on the challenge the groomers in compacting this much snow). The Gold trail section has been worked on and is relatively firm but with 3" of fluff on top. Groomers deserve a ton of credit for all of their hard work on these trails - well done.

Rolled both the Ski Games and the Gold Trail this morning. These will both be groomed tomorrow and track set. Also groomed the skate deck and set new classic track on the Silver and Bronze Trails. Both are soft but classic track is your best bet right now. Enjoy!

Skied the entire BC west trail system this morning about 11:00 AM. The Bronze and Silver loops have been groomed to a firm (pretty firm) skate deck and excellent classic track is in place. The west extension for the Gold and WC loops and the Game trails have been rolled with the 1st pass roller. Great powder skating in this section. Plenty of snow for race skis but I don't want anyone using my name in vain if they hit something. Excellent time to be get out!

Bronze and Silver regroomed and new track set. Badly drifted in the open, much nicer in the woods. Still on the soft side, especially for skating. Looked like a skied-in track on the Gold. The ball field was rolled earlier, if you can find it under the drifts!

Freshly groomed this morning. Windy on the flats but perfect in the woods. Tracks set also.

Skating repacked and track set on Bronze & Silver trails. Still very soft; striding might be more fun than skating.

Awesome weather! Nice firm deck on gold/silver loops but kinda smooth and lumpy, due to ski, foot, and hoof traffic. A good opportunity to work on balance! Watch out - lots of feces on ski games. Best corduroy/fun to be had is on the ballfields and pond next to the parking lot. Overall classic tracks looked in better shape.
