Skate deck freshly groomed and in great shape. Classic tracks mostly good but getting thin and icy in spots with some debris. New snow would be welcome.

Near perfect conditions. Watch out for oak leaves in track since the breeze picked up. Fast and fun classic skiing. Skaters were going fast as trails were nicely groomed. Thanks, WOB!

I skied at noon, and the classic tracks were surprisingly good. Over my 7.5 mile loop, I'd say 80% of the trail was in excellent condition. The flat section near main entrance was in fair condition, mainly due to traffic I assume, but still no bare spots. The tracks had very little debris, though much of the hilly section tracks seem set quite far right. Skiers need to watch for overhanging branches. Wear eye protection.

I skied Woodland Edge and Hardwood Hills trails. All were groomed for both, showed evidence of lots of traffic but condition of both track and skate deck is excellent. I waxed green with a blue kicker, was just about perfect. On the SW leg of the Woodland Edge trail, where you get the lovely long downhill cruise going, if you stay in the classic tracks watch for a lot of overhanging shrub branches coming in from the right — some definite eye poker possibilities there!

Nearly perfect for classic. When we started at 2 p.m. classic tracks had only been partially set, but the groomer caught up with us while we were on our first round. We did the entire perimeter, including South America and the doughnut. Grip tape gave me a near perfect combination of kick and glide, but my partner had a little trouble with his kick on his skin skis. I had been planning to switch to skate for the second round, but decided that when the classic is that good you'd better take advantage of it! I did finally switch to skate for a short loop at the end and found it just a tad soft and slow going, though still very good.

Got out there 9am, trails had not been rolled or groomed. In some parts you could still feel some of the crust underneath. The Park got about 3-4 inches, so a nice covering on the trails.

Argh! The groomed surface was frozen into rutted ice. I skied everything but South America and it was not fun. There was a small section of heartbreak hill that the groomer hadn't touched and it was great. Big bummers. It's such a thin base that I don't know if they can break it up to fix it. I wouldn't recommend skiing at WOB until we get more snow.
