Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skating lane groomed and classic track set. Classic skiing was very good. I used good skis and only stepped out of the track at just a few obvious spots. Great snow and fun to be back at O'Brien. Don't forget your state ski pass, they have been checking.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Secondhand
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Rolling packing and grooming in progress. No classic track yet but talked to the park manager and they will try tomorrow to set one. Ski passes being checked at the trailhead and this is also keeping walkers off the trail.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails keep getting better and better. Trails were being groomed as the snow was coming down (around 3 pm). Tracks have not been set yet. Coverage has gotten much better over the last few days. Very little debris on the trail.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Classic skied around noon. Yesterdays snow was helpful, but track is only rolled and not groomed for either skating or classic skiing. Tracks skied in, but were pretty sloppy.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Snow is thin in open areas. It was a little scary on the downhills worrying that I could hit a rock. But the conditions are really good rock skiing. I hit some gravel three times. I saw grass in the skied in tracks. But today I saw two people skiing and yesterday at Wirth I saw about 1000. So great day. Did the outside loop.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I did the hiking club trail minus the small overlook side trail. Groomed, no tracks. Shallow snow with some bare spots with rocks, but mostly avoidable. Great fun!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Skied a partial loop at WOB just before sunset. Some of the trail looks phenomenal, and some is almost bare ground. Most of what I saw you would feel pretty comfortable on your B skis, but there were some definite rock ski or portage sections.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
At advice from previous reports I didn't take the killer hill or south america loops. I started the lollipop loop but found it had the same issue as that I later identified on the other outer loops - soft rolling only, no corduroy. Same with the trail back up wedge hill. The rest was great, though, apart from 2 bare spots - both on flat ground - and some debris around the RR tracks.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic

Report is for the flat marsh loop only. It's been rolled but no track set. A couple of bare patches, which can be avoided.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Everything is rolled and about 7k groomed for skating. Thin but very enjoyable skiing. Nice no track classic and skating looked pretty good. Quite a few walkers. Park folks did a nice job with this first snow.
