Excellent conditions this early morning - not too icy, not to sloppy, just right! Used race skis without issue. Another fantastic sunrise over the city, with good viewing from Jim's Hill and from the descent from the Green Meadow loop. Good for skating and classical striding. Enjoy some excellent pre-Christmas skiing!

A very busy Sunday morning at Wirth! By the time we arrived mid-morning, parking was already spilling over to the chalet lot. Lots of folks out on the trails, but with the new prairie loop open, it helped keep things spread out. Conditions were quite good even by late morning as the bright sunshine was warming things up.

About 2.5 k open. It was a bit icy when I got there but after a half hour it was better. The trails get sugary fast so come early.

It was pretty icy out. I am not sure if I waxed my skis correctly because I am a beginner so this didn't go as planned but still went well: ).

The Loppet Trails Crew is grooming the Green Meadow Loop and it will be open for skiing Saturday morning. Total trail distance is now about 2.2 kilometers, starting in the Lower Stadium. Please note: Green Meadow trail does not have lights, so bring a headlamp if you are skiing when it’s dark. Lights are on in Lower Stadium and up to Coach’s Corner 6am-10pm.

I took in another Friday evening long session at Theodore Wirth, and the trails were overall better than expected once again considering the high volume of skiers I'm sure are using the trails in the middle of the day. It was fast and firm in most places, with the exception of some sugar on a few uphill portions. I can attest to the fast conditions because I skied a freestyle hot lap in 3:57, more than 20 seconds faster than what I was able to accomplish a week ago.

Skied at sunrise (obscured by plenty of clouds). Conditions were quite good -- no icy spots and trail not beaten up too much. Half full southern parking lot, but trail traffic was quite light. Lots of new man-made snow in the stadium piled up, as well as heading toward the Twin Lakes loop.

Firm and fast conditions for my intervals around 9am. 3:15 on the 1.4k loop during my first interval lap. Making sure Brian doesn't get off too easy.

Skied a "Hot Lap," tried to get it in before it got too busy...4:07 but slowed down a couple of times out of respect :). 28 degrees and great conditions around 3:00 pm! Excited for more K to open up.
