The snowmaking loop is up to 4k of trail open, from Green Meadow over to La Squadra.
Natural snow trails have been rolled and have generally good coverage. No classic tracks have been set on natural snow trails due to snow depth.

Gorgeous sunrise ski mainly on the snowmaking side. 15F feels warm! La Squadra loop is open! So you can park at the Chalet parking lot and jump right on the trail. Snow guns blazing on the trail out to the Twin Lake loop. No classic tracks set yet on the natural snow on the other side of the Parkway as far as I could see.

I was on the singletrack trails yesterday afternoon and got the chance to observe snowmaking progress on some of the still-closed trails. Snow on La Squandra was being smoothed out, and it looks like they’ll groom and open that very soon. There’s also plenty of snow piled up on Twin Lakes, with about half of that smooshed down by a snow cat. My guess is we’ll see that open not long after. There is a ton of snow back there - I can’t imagine they need to make much more, although it may hinge on Upper Meadow, which is thinner but with active snow making in progress.

Pretty good conditions. Wind blown in places. Slower conditions because of a light snowfall. Classic tracks were set but snow in them in places. I didn’t see grooming in natural snow area. Very peaceful out there.

With the warming temps, some of the deck was softer, but not as sugary as the night before (more like mashed potatoes this time). The hill up to Green Meadow had some sticks and twigs on the left-hand side- nothing that couldn't be avoided though. The hill to Coach's Corner from the Hap Loop was less-shaved out than the night before, and did have a track all the way around. There had been plenty of snow-plowing on the hill down from Green Meadow, but it wasn't shaved out and had plenty of snow for tractions. Everything seemed pretty solid/firm given the almost above freezing temps.

Started out around 8:45. The snow felt a lot slower than expected, especially the hill up to Green Meadow. There were a couple long track-like grooves at the very bottom of the hill down from Green Meadow/Twin Lakes that could catch you in low light (further into the deck from the double set of classic tracks). The newly opened section had some more sugary snow on the uphills, especially the uphill right after coach's corner. The downhill that comes back to coach's corner from the Hap Loop was shaved out a bit on the inside- not icy but still harder to get purchase. Thanks for keeping the lights on later this year!

Good packed snow. Tracks were well used, but holding up well except for a few uphill corners. Getting a little soft around 2pm. Skate deck in good condition.

Skied natural snow trail from the golf chalet to RR tunnel and Basset Creek bridge. This is where I found these tracks in the footage ice. What is it? [ Otters --Ed. ] From there across Wirth Lake and back up around Jar Hill to the south side of the lake and around to Monument Mound on the east side of the lake. Kalevala! Finnish? The Skyline Trail.

This afternoon warmed up a bit so I checked out the Wirth North natural snow trails (Bridge Trail and Skyline Trail, i.e. Front 9 of the golf course) - and found them to be in good shape for skate skiing, considering the lack of natural snow. There are also pretty good classic tracks present throughout, although fairly shallow in places. There was no risk of my B skis touching asphalt, except one easily avoidable patch at the end of the Skyline Trail. There is also one manhole cover on the Skyline Trail to avoid for pole plants, but it was easily avoidable. Overall a really pleasant ski on the natural snow trails! I also checked out the man-made loop and it's now a bit longer with a few more climbs and descents after Coaches' Corner. The grooming was excellent per usual on the man-made loop for both classic and skate skiing.

Just groomed and opened up another 0.3 miles to the north of the turnaround (top of hill to the west of the Trailhead, northwest of tubing). Freshly groomed (soft) and classic tracked (didn’t use, still setting). The rest of the loop (1.5miles) is pristine classic tracks—deep grooves (even in hills) and fast. Very few folks out skiing today. Crew was out grooming more new trails north of chalet.
