Notes

A nice set of trails with rolling hills. The first lighted trail system in the metro, it still attracts a lot of after-work skiers.

Night
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
For the most part, decent trails with occasional small sticks and leaves. There were 3-5 sections of trail with exposed ground/rocks, at one point I had to take my skis off to cross part of the trail. Thankfully none of the bare spots were at the bottom of any hills. The classic track was barely formed, and nonexistent in most cases. I didn't bother to use the track. Overall I would recommend the trail with a pair of rock skis.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Post blizzard, conditions were predictable: deck on the soft side, cold air and new dry snow meant limited glide. A few wind-scoured patches were bad enough that it made more sense to take skis off and walk a few steps to get over, as rocks and grit were present that will mark up good skis big-time.

Looks like they got the first pass done for the skate deck and coverage is very good except for a few thin spots where the wind was blowing. A little soft still so probably needs some time to set up or a second pass before things are super good. No classic tracks from what I saw.
