Fresh grooming today of 4" of new snow on top of a foot of ice and corn. Great conditions, getting sticky by 10:30 am. Said to be the last grooming of the year, but there will be plenty of snow here for a while. It's been a great year at Wolverine.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Today was the last day for the groomers at Wolverine. Last year it was March 15th. This morning the groomers set the track and groomed the skate lane of the Novice loop, Cliffs Trail, Pit Run, Powderhorn Trail to the Three Sisters Cut Across, Stairway to Heaven and back on Cliffs Trail. Nice loop. The trails remain open but they won't be groomed. The Chalet is closed. Thanks to all the groomers, Chalet openers and closers, machine maintenance crew, all members, donors and those who skied and snowshoed this year. Another great year at Wolverine. The work is never done... The first Workbee is June 11th. Workbees are scheduled for the second Saturday of each month. Don't forget to get your 2022-23 season pass. Happy Trails.

There was almost 1" of snow overnight with temps in the 20's. Skate lanes were not icy. The novice trail did not have any debris. The trails were groomed yesterday and still in great shape. Plenty of base still holding strong. Doesn't get much better than this. Planning an Easter Day ski tomorrow.

5 " of new snow was groomed this morning with plenty of base. Tracks are well set. Skate deck is softer. Snowed all day today so 1" of light snow on deck by mid-afternoon. The trails are amazing. It's April 8th and still conditions are excellent - early spring conditions. Tomorrow, groomers plan to be going out in the morning. Come on out to ski as the conditions are still inviting.

Of course it was not going to snow again overnight until it did. So another inch of very moist and slow snow that fell right over the corn before it had time to freeze made for a slow morning. My skin skis had decent glide, even more snow once the tracks were broken in, faster conditions than skate skiing anyway. But, it looks like dogs were able to move faster than people today!

Freshly set tracks this morning to take care of the sticky snow from the evening before. Good conditions on skins. Transformed to corn quickly as the sun came out, and it remained still good for classic. Kudos to the groomers for keeping up with these challenging and ever changing snow conditions!

The cool evening allowed the groomers to set new tracks and groom the skate lane before the warmup of the day. Enjoy spring skiing.

Plenty of snow. Looks like it was groomed this morning, but 4-6 inches of fluff had covered it up. Skating through the lightest of powder was more fun than a chore. The ruts from a week ago are gone. Skate deck was smooth. Tracks were skied in but well set under the new stuff. Should be another great weekend on these trails.
