Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Classic skied from the golf course up to the top of the 12k hill. Skins worked great. Classic tracks exist in the woods however the sun has melted them away out on the golf course. Skate lanes are in good condition. East of Sullivan Springs road has not been groomed after recent snowfalls so expect backcountry conditions. That part of the ski was fun. Make your own tracks with super deep pole plants. Great for end of season adventure on classic skis.

Skate skied all the trails on golf course side of old 32. Firm skate deck, no ruts, nice skiing. Lots of snow remaining here, at least 16 inches in the woods. There were some classic tracks present, might come back and try them later this week. Snowing lightly when I left.

Freshly groomed skate lane made for fast and fun skiing today! Skied from the golf course to Sullivan Spring Rd. The golf course itself was wind blown and the classic tracks were filled in with drifted snow. Midwinter conditions in the woods.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trail was groomed from Golf Course to Sullivan Springs Road. Skate lane was tenderized working in 1/2" to 1" of new snow. Some classic track was reset. Most was in good condition and was left alone. Because of the wind no track was set on the Golf Course. In the woods, conditions are good to very good. Skate lane is fast.

Skied the hills behind the golf course, out to the Old 32 parking lot and around the 9 K loop. Good skating conditions with a half inch of fresh snow on top of a firm, crusty base.

Skated from old 32 to Sullivan Springs and to the Golf Course without the big hills. I started about 8:30 so the snow was somewhat crusty initially. Old 32 to Sullivan Springs was firm and in excellent condition. The trail was not groomed past Sullivan Springs. Old 32 to the golf course especially after the McCauslin Brooke road crossing was softer and a little rough in spots, but great coverage. Overall, mid winter conditions. Thanks to the groomers for all their hard work. Lakewood has had a ton of snow since I was last there 2-3 weeks ago.

Unbelievably great conditions for this time of year. Skied all the groomed trails yesterday and today, from the golf course to Sullivan Springs Rd (see trail map); near perfect skate deck and classic tracks: 9.5 out of 10. There has been over 40" of snow here in the last 2 1/2 weeks, so much snow that they are still using the PistenBully to groom the trails. Many thanks to the groomers for their great efforts.
