Good snow for the most part, and ad-hoc classic tracks are smooth-especially in the woods to the east of the clubhouse. Unfortunately not much grooming and some tree/logging work makes a mess of things northwest of the the parking area. I skipped the open area south of the parking area as drifting made it uneven. Not really recommended.

With 1/2 inch or more of fresh snow, it was nice skiing this morning. Especially if you made your own tracks on the golf course. It isn't groomed. There are some skied-in tracks to use. I used slightly wider trail classic skis, and they worked well. I wouldn't go towards the Rookery, as there are icy sections under trees. They are also cutting trees, so some golf fairways have debris and truck tracks to ski around. Some hard pack underneath, but the coating of snow made it very skiable in most open places.

Nice snow, nice weather conditions, glad I got out, but nothing is recently groomed. I skied the whole north loop- most places there only had rudimentary skier-made tracks.

Perfect conditions for me. I haven't skated in a couple years (new hip and all) and there was a nice layer of 1-2 inches of skied-on soft snow to make for a very controlled, comfortable ski. Not hard packed or icy. Trail probably had not been groomed for a day or two. Just went south from parking lot and not north into the woods.

The conditions today are good. A firm, flat skate deck covered by 2 inches of light snow. Conditions invite both V1 and V2, as the deck is smooth and flat and the covering snow, while rutted by skate and diagonal tracks, is light enough not to catch one's tips. The leaves in wooded parts of the trail are nicely covered. Classic tracks sometimes wander to the middle of the skate deck, as the edges are sometimes hard to see, but for the most part skaters can find room enough to leave classic tracks unmolested. There have been more classic skiers today, and they've set a nice track around both loops in most places. Thanks again, Anoka County, for providing this resource!

I want to thank Anoka County Parks for grooming a great skate deck! I think more skiers could work the snow in and set the base. Watch out for the leaves on trail as they tend to throw off the perfect glide. Bring on another good snowfall!

Trails were groomed today, but no track set due to limited base. Some thin spots on the skate deck, but good overall conditions otherwise. The wooded area is littered with leaves.

Trail was rolled but not groomed yet. Few icy spots but it was all covered. Few leaves in the forested section but not too bad!

Most of the trail had been recently groomed and in good condition. The small portion of the trail ending at The Rookery gym was not groomed, but it was hard-packed with hiker prints, which was skiable but a bit challenging. Quite a bit of leaf and stick debris in the wood portion, which is to be expected. The multi-use trail hadn't been too "multi-used" so it was nice. Overall, a pleasant, easy ski in a quiet area.

Golf course and multi-use trail were groomed today. Conditions are good and should improve with time. Track was not reset, but conditions are still considered good.
