Skate deck in great condition, if a bit soft. Classic well set. Skied two laps. Had a lovely ski, late this afternoon.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skate skied in the evening after a little fresh snow. The snow is obviously impeccably deep. The skate deck in general is fairly soft, even after grooming, with some unevenness/different levels from the different passes of the groomer. A few pole plants went through and down a good foot. Hard to complain too much about all the snow, and it's definitely worth the trip here for a nice ski.

Grooming

All trails were groomed and tracked this morning. Conditions are great with a lot of base and deep tracks, enjoy!

-5 degrees does not deter the Highland 9 grooming crew! They were out at 8am taking the first pass around the course. Thank you!

Skated at Highland around 10am. Skate deck was soft, but starting to get skied in. Seemed like it had been groomed since the midweek snow, but not since then. Surprisingly fast given how soft it was. All together a pleasant morning. Classic track was skied in, with a fair number of folks skiing classic out today.

Very nice skiing for classic and freestyle. Tracks mostly intact except around corners. Hardly anyone there. Pleasant gently rolling hills. Seemed longer than 3.5 k.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The full loop is groomed for classic and skate. The classic tracks looked good, and the skate lane is extremely soft from our abundance of February snow. Strong leg and arm pushes sink deep in most areas. Lots of skiers were out enjoying beautiful evening, and it should firm up nicely after the next grooming.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Highland has not been groomed as of yet though there are some fairly well established skied in classic trails. There is a lot of snow out there, didn't realize how much until getting out there. It was slow and very soft but still fun to be out.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated a few loops this afternoon around 3:00 pm at Highland. Skate deck was hard but not icy, with a few developing ridges and boot tracks. Coverage was good with no bare spots. With a fresh grooming it will be great. Classic track looked like it was fully covered, but was getting washed out around corners and on the uphills.

Fantastic conditions and lots of people out enjoying the skiing. Classic track looked to be in great condition as well. It must have been re-groomed after the wind on Thursday as it had been very drifted over on Thursday night. Thanks groomers!
